Juggling work, maternity leave and a new baby

It's Cooking Mom from the Mom to Mom blog. I'm a little stressed out about maternity leave and the all of a sudden realization that I'm going to have a newborn in my life very soon - maybe even this week. You can read about my anxiety in my recent post: The Juggle - work, maternity leave and a new baby.

I was hoping some other moms can sympathize or seasoned moms can share how they managed this stage. I was running my own business last time around and was able to scale back to part- part-time so didn't have quite the same worries.

Re: Juggling work, maternity leave and a new baby

I hear you - I experienced the same thing when I was on maternity leave with my daughter. The stress of life and work and a new baby can be overwhelming. The best advice I can say is to take a deep breath and know that things will fall into place. At the end of the day, nothing is more important than caring for the new baby in your life - enjoy that time, it goes fast!

Let yourself lean on other people more than usual - trust that they will be there to help you (family members, co-workers, etc). They want to help, so be sure to let them! Good luck and congrats!
